About Dr. R. Arnold Smith

A magna cum laude graduate of the University of Tennessee and an honor medical school graduate (AOA) of the U.T. Medical School in Memphis, Tennessee, Dr. Smith trained in neurosurgery at the Mayo Graduate School of Medicine in Rochester, Minnesota, and in Radiation Oncology at the University of Kentucky in Lexington. He passed written boards in neurosurgery prior to entering residency training in radiation therapy at the University of Kentucky.

Dr. Smith was the first full time private practice Board Certified Radiation Oncologist in Mississippi. He served as Medical Director of the Department of Radiation Oncology at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson from 1974 until 1991. Active in clinical research, he has authored numerous articles for national radiology publications and the Journal of the Mississippi State Medical Association.

Methodologies employed by Dr. Smith for immune restoration as an adjunct to conventional cancer treatment have been evaluated in a retrospective analysis for the University of Mississippi and the Mississippi Baptist Medical Center, both in Jackson, Mississippi, and these agents were associated with a marked statistical improvement in survival.

He is a Diplomat with the American Academy of Anti-aging Medicine.
